Might not be configured for sshfs/fuse/samba out of the box, but it
seems like they're generally available; you could add them and snapshot.

(Some of us at work have a DSL-based (vbox) image setup to connect to
the obnoxious VPN and setup a proxy for http(s) tunneling to VPN
resources.)
