I briefly thought of suggesting Waterbury as a location, in the hopes
that a) rent would be cheaper for a space to host the hacker space and
b) we'd get participation from both Montpelier and Burlington areas.
However, on further reflection, i think this would result in less
participation overall, since *everyone* would have to drive to get
there.

I've been reading a lot on this topic today (while my builds are
running and I can't do anything else, of course) and I think this
could really work.  I'm airing the idea on the vague list since this
is a great place to start, but I think a hacker space would go far
beyond just the FOSS community.  Hardware, software, maybe even
non-computer projects... yes, there are people out there that don't
spend ALL of their time in front of a computer monitor
