another Arduino meeting with some presenters showing, on a projector,
them writing out some basic code and commands to do different things:
and Arduino programming tutorial type of night. Start with something
super-simple like making the LED blink for those who have no
experience, and move on to controlling motors and servos and sensors.
That was me. What I had attached to the board was a BlinkM
(http://thingm.com/products/blinkm) which is an RGB LED with its own
microcontroller on board. You talk over I2C to the microcontrller. I'd
be happy to run a brief lab on setting up the Arduino, the software, and
super-basic programming of the BlinkM. It's not hard stuff, and I don't
have an electronics background.
At the moment, though, I don't have access to good space for that sort
of a lab, so it might need to be done as part of a larger event.
I really enjoyed the meeting last night and would like to thank everyone
who came, particularly Forest & Logic Supply for the great space & food,
and Brian for bringing all the cool example hardware.
