Point of order: I, and a Burlington-area friend of mine, both went the quit-school-and-(eventually-)work-for-Cisco route. Said route would have probably been a good decade shorter had we had degrees in-hand. It's doable -- especially in technology -- but the hard part (IMHO) is the first two jobs; after that (assuming you're good), you've built up enough of a resume that *most* companies won't turn you down out-of-hand. Even with a pretty darn bulletproof resume, it's still a downcheck. (And almost certainly precludes working at an educational establishment.) $.02, -Ken -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
