Those fonts are a little esoteric; it might be nice to have something a
little more traditional and available. Thankfully,
http://www.zeldman.com/2010/09/28/designer-flow-chart-picks-typefaces-for-your-projects/
came across Reader this morning.

Since we want a Logo…

- and Sans Serif is prettier…
  - Here is an interesting branch …

    - heralding the role of unix and openness in the sciences, we have to
      "like geometrics"…
      - and being geeky, we presume to like Futurama, which is close to
"Futura"… (besides, Vermont is assuredly not "Metro". ;)

        - FUTURA!

    - OR … maybe we want to be contrarian, and reject the dominant
      paradigm…

      - Another interesting branch!

        - "Neo-Grotesk" sounds pretty rad!
          - And, being geeks, we have to agree that "Science Fiction
            Movies are my Favorite"…

            - EUROSTILE!

        - BUT … maybe something "Grotesk" isn't appropriate…
          - Humanistic? Yes…
            - Adobe doesn't seem to care much about Linux, so no, we
don't like the look of Adobe…

              - FRUTIGER!

Clearly, we have three typeface options. Random internet decision trees
never lie. ;)
