Git, Behat & Creating Your First Symfony2 Application ===================================================== You've heard about Symfony2, and now it's time to start your first application! In this talk, Ryan Weaver—the guy behind the Symfony2 documentation—will walk you through the practical steps of starting your first Symfony2 application, including the best ways to configure and use Git. As an added bonus, you'll get a preview of how you can do simple in-browser testing with a library called Behat. Ryan is an avid supporter of Symfony and open source in general. He's passionate about code that does less, is a stickler for consistency, and writes unit tests so he can sleep better at night. If you've written open source code, Ryan probably loves you, but hates your documentation. Ryan is a core member of the Symfony team and is responsible for Symfony2 documentation. The PHP Users Group meetings are open to the public via RSVP. You will have the chance to network and connect with fellow PHP developers. Please pass this information on to others who may be interested. You can register here: http://btvphp-2011-08.eventbrite.com/
