I've got it configured to use joe for its editor rather than pico.
The MTA is sendmail, which is Slackware's default. I haven't had to
dig around inside sendmail.cf in years. The stuff I actually need to
configure is all kept in external config files now.
I've noticed the number of html emails going up precipitously. Pain in
the ass. You're lucky if I read your damn email: no need to decorate it
and htmlify (and cssify) it! Jeesh.
I mean, I'm just glad when I get actual emails instead of being out

Not true: It's IMAP server is/was very popular, but these messages are
definitely being delivered by the courier MTA!
