I'd like to replace an old box (very old, like less than 1G RAM old, one
of the early AMD64 architecture chips).

It's been running backups and mythtv reliably for years (decades). Large
backups are starting to overwhelm it. I'd like to replace it with
something reliable (ECC RAM). I was stunned to see this:

HPE ML110 GEN10 3104 1P 8GB-R S100ISYST4LFF (ENTML110-001)
Item#: 41234288 | Model#: ENTML110-001

for $229. Is this for real? Any downsides? I've heard HPE is a pain
because of license requirements and drive trays. But this will be on
site in my basement, so I don't care about remote management. Can you
guys catch me up on issues with modern hardware?
