Not as knowledgeable as you and aussie subu are, its only b’cos I love the game
- try and follow everything about it. Since you were travelling there was no
in-depth analysis on the day to day progress for the second test, so that was
missed (hv will love to read this…!!)

I was thinking on similar lines, will mishra be replaced or retained and if
he is retained who else has to go….

if harbhajan and zaheer add 100 odd runs as they did in the first match, can
we afford to replace laxman? Go with five bowlers or four? This is very
interesting….

Anyway, look forward to more responses……

you are equally passionate about Cricket! I cant imagine anybody asking such a
question except for a person who has enough knowledge about the game. I am
stumped actually since i never expected u to ask such a difficult question,
anyways the answer is almost correct, we have won the last 7 test matches
played at F.Kotla, Delhi and the chief architect in most of the recent
victories is none other then our captain KUMBLE!

Now, comes the real problem for the Indian team, what 11 are they going to pick
up for the next match at Delhi. We all know Kumble's record at Ferozshah Kotla
including the world record of 10 wickets in an innings, 18 or 19 in all against
the Pakis in that match i think, not sure! Now, Kumble is already declared fit
for the next match, so who is going to be made the scape goat? They cant afford
to remove any of the 4 bowlers because they have all done exceedingly well in
the last test match. Whereas if they change the composition of the team then
they will have to play one batsmen short and no marks for guessing it right,
the axe will fall on Laxman again! They have to bring the Captain back in the
team for 2 reasons, first he is the captain of the team and is an automatic
choice, secondly how can you leave Kumble from the playing X1 at F.Kotla, it is
called Kumble's pitch first and then F.Kotla since he has been the most
successful spinner by far for many years now!!!!
They cant remove anyone else except Laxman since he has not performed well in
the pvs. 2 tests but this would mean we will have to play a batsmen short! And
this is too risky since the F.Kotla pitch has always been a low scoring one and
on to compound the matters worse Laxman had played a match winning innings of
74 odd in the pvs. win against Pakistan at the same ground! Hehehheeh, i cant
imagine what the think tank must be going through, it is certainly going to be
India's game but can they afford to drop Lacchu?????? I think they should drop
Mishra to accomodate Kumble if no one else gets injured in the mean time since
we cant be complacent and change the composition of our team!

What do you think Disha about this problem? Did you think about it? Subu,
Sameer, please chip in! Now, i am all the more excited to get positive feedback
from the gal's side also, abhi H.V ka koi tension nahi, we are in the
majority,heheheh! Excuse us, H.V i must say!

Wow, the ice is broken here! Thanks Cricket, this is the first time Disha
has ever responded to my email directly! I have never spoken to Disha in my
life, as Archana had mentioned in one of her mails that she thought i was a
little 'Gamandi' types! Never mind, it is nice to note about your interest in
Cricket, now you must also write a few things about your viewpoints for the
Delhi match etc, excuse me H.V!

  Hi Nayan,

yes i have been an ardent cricket enthusiast since school times, would play
with my dad at home and watch all the matches with him! Also, do read all the
cricket analysis emails very interestingly......

it was a good team effort overall in this match, hope they are able to
replicate this in Delhi !!

  Rgds,
  Disha

      Hmmm,

Yes, i did not get chance to see the match but was following it in the middle
of the night here in the U.S! I am so addicted, forget it!

Well, regarding your match analysis- Good one dude! Yes, they will most
certainly clean them up! I guess Ishant Sharma is bowling as well as anybody
these days, Brett Lee has been made to look like an ordinary bowler. But
remember the catch here is, Aussies use Kokobora balls back home where as we
use SG ones, main reason for our attack looking more potent than theirs
actually since the Aussies hardly use them! It has made a big difference in
this test match. I have seen Amit Mishra in the IPL and was highly impressed,
remember he is the guy who had got a hatrick! He has got a very good googly and
isnt easy to read since he mixes it well! He is from Haryana, not U.P, so you
might have to speak in Kapil's language and not R.P.Singh's. heheh! Try it. By
the way, he will help in cleaning the tail today. Let us send the Aussies back
to their hotels for the early lunch. Shane Watson is a big mouth and yesterday
he had quoted that Aussies can chase down any total, he must be
 eating his words now.

I am quiet surprised to read Disha's mail regarding the cricket score, chalo we
got one more Vanian to discuss cricket now!

Bye

Indu and Nayan ... Both of you look good

Good to know that traveling 40 miles did not deter Indu from meeting Nayan.
Well Done ...

Sameer, I did get your SMS and did reply, but congrats to you once again.

Nayan .. Tuje manna padega yaar, you tirelessly reply to all emails, even while
you are with your blueberry. I missed your detailed match analysis, but
probably you did not get to see the matches. Terrific performance from India
... We have the aussies by the scruff of their necks. A little bit of my
analysis ....

We all knew it was a flat wicket that Indians batted on, but our bowlers
already had a plan. Zaheer and Ishant with the new ball started bowling cross
seam and hit the ball on one end, kept the other end shiny, and from the 9th
over of the first innings itself the ball started to reverse for them. I
thought that was absolutely brilliant thinking ... whoever came up with that
plan. Aussies did copy that strategy in the second innings, but did not work
for them. What about Misra ?? Uttar Pardes ki Saan ... Dil Khuss ho Gaya uka
bowlin dekh kar ..... We have to clean em up today, which most likely we will.

Subu
