naraaz mat hona, but she is a pakistani woman whose husband is a GP and a former ENT consultant. So it really helped cos whenever there was any bleeding he would assure me that it was normal.
I had developed some nasal polyp after my septum was found to have deviated. The deviated septum was detected by Times of india inhouse consultant...I didnt do anything except for using nasal spray. But last winter it became worse and after a year my pak's friend's GP hubby saw me and saw obvious polyps. He referred me to a consultant and finally i was operated upon. The nose bone was straightened and polyps were removed. and one more thing done with the turbinate, which i don't know much about. However, my english friends were also there. One is house and cat sitting for a week for a friend and she asked me to come there so that she could look after me. She is a former colleague and currently not working. Bless her, she was there in my hospital room with lovely flowers when i was wheeled in after the operation. I was so bunged up...it was great to see a familiar figure. After half an hour Vaskar reached...and it was all very comfortable after that. My family was not told till the operation was over...esp because there was a slight fear that the polyps could be malignant. After a biopsy test, i learnt after a week that they were benign. That week was not a very happy one. Incidentally, the consultant who operated upon me is one Mr Maheshwar. And he gave me his cell number, which they rarely do. So i text him even when i have to ask him if i can drink tea..and promptly calls back. :-) My fren's hub was mighty impressed!
