I've only had a chance to tinker around with Inkscape just a little bit, but 
what I did see I liked.  In fact, I really liked the freeform tool - it handles 
pathing *much* better than Photoshop does - I'd say on par with Illustrator at 
the least.

It also has a built in trace like Corel - so it's not a shabby program by any 
means.  Can't beat the price either.  :)
