I'm updating a module I created a while ago. There have been several Vassalengine updates since, and _I_ am not quite so up-to-date :), so I'm not sure what extra functionality has been added, and if it may be relevant to the following feature request from the players of my module:
Basically there is some extra information (a small text paragraph) available for every piece. I had not previously implemented that to encourage players to use the physical component (a card). However, they have requested it, and I have received a semi-official OK, or at least been told that it will not have any impact on whether or not the company will continue to tolerate my "Virtual" adaptation. The information is not necessary at all times, and would clutter up the pieces considerably otherwise. It is not hidden, changing, or specific to one player (It is however specific to the individual piece) I was thinking about either a rollover (like, or in addition to, the Zoom effect) or a command that would pop up the image with the information near the piece. Worst case, I could have a text message displayed in the console window, but that would be a bit of a PITA to play, and a big one to implement, since I would to type up a lot of text.
