Create a prototype to hold your generic markers as a series of layers, using
the layer trait

Subject: [vassalengine] Mid play Counter Tweaks/Markers

Noob here, KEEN on the possibilities, OH the possibilities...

In the event that a module by necessity would have hundreds and
hundreds of counters, is it possible to have a "tray" of
standardized markers "on the side" where these markers could be
selected and "dropped" onto individual (usually top down view)
existing counters to show graduated changes in status that can be
interpreted/discerned at a glance? Comparatively small Damage
Markers that looked like/could represent fires, or smoke, or other
damage factors at the scale of the unit depicted on the counter,
where either player at a glance could see that such counters were
impaired/damaged and use that imagery as eye-candy, but also
automatically know when to consider and apply game modifiers for the
represented types of damages?

TIA,

Edward G.
