Gary, Wow...

Yeah, that's exactly what I'd like to do--give new life--as you did
and are doing--to these games that we treasure for some reason.

Blitzkrieg, as you know, underwent rules revisions through '85, though
that may have been a bit of a silk purse out of a sow's ear. But who
can complain about that beautiful mapboard--esp. the Vassal version,
rendered as elegantly as it was?

I feel that I have done nothing to help out, though I have been
blessed--big time--w/ a couple of wonderful, patient players and this
incomparable game system. Since my skills are so limited, I thought
that I could try a "small solution" and contribute SOMETHING. Who
knows, maybe someone will try the game again if the counters exert
special influence.

Really loved the makeover you linked--for me, these games are much
more than meets the eye and contribute in special ways to lots of people.

I'll see what I can manage--right now I'm tending toward this
offering: http://www.lincolnbeach.com/justbuttons.asp , but my
question to tech support re layering (and a couple other issues) has
yet to be answered.

All Regards,

W.

on the right, my version. :)
