It wouldn't be terrible to split the maps into extensions. I'm not thrilled
about losing the order of the maps, but I'll get over it.

I switched the mod from an external source to vassalengine.org because it gave
me access to loading the mod directly instead of depending on 3rd parties. I do
know several groups that would host it if I asked.

I'll pick one of these 2 methods to get the updates out there.

Thanks for the instant help!

extensions loaded in alphabetical order?

What about moving all maps to extensions and changing the names of the
extensions to load the maps in order you want? I know it is a real pain when
you reach this point, but perhaps now is the time to re-organize the module and
step up a version? I came to the same point with one of my large modules and
removing all maps from main module to extensions made life so much easier. Each
extension contains a map, the scenarios related to that map and any unique
counters.

Another option is to host you module on another site and have the VASSAL
module page link to it.

 Cheers,
 Brent.

I have 10-15 maps right now in one mod. I can move them around in whatever
order I want. If I put the some of the maps into an extension, I lose the
ability of sorting them in the map list. They appear at the bottom of the list.
I can sort those maps within that extension but not in relationship to the
other maps in the main mod. If I have multiple extensions adding to the list,
the maps appear in the order that the extensions are loaded.

Yes, I believe the limit is 12Mb.

What exactly do you mean by 'unable to put them into any order'?

 Brent.
