Hi all, first, sorry for my english :) ... Ok, I'm having this problem: My notebook usually uses 180 mb of 512 mb that it has, without porgrams running. It has an on board video card that uses part of its 512 mb. I've been working in a Vassal module (a Mythos ccg) for solitaire playing, and when I got to load 170 cards a message appears wich tells me that the aplication "has run out of memory". Then I checked the memory usage and found that it was at 480 mb (close to 512). Then, vassal was using 300 mb to store the cards in memory... I guess. Each jpg card image has no more than 80 kb. So, my cuestion is: I cannot reduce the card images in size because I wouldnt be able to read part of its contents. Is there another way to reduce the memory usage? I'd like to load at least, 400 cards. Is that possible?
Another cuestion: Is there a way to reduce the size of the initial view of the cards if you're not using the zoom tool? I mean I just want to view them "large" only when I place the mouse over them. My problem is that they appear as they are in the original jpg image. Hope to be cleare, sorry for being this newbe, and thanks in advance.
