What sort of things are you wanting to put into the registry?
Depending on what you need to put into the registry, the method
varies a little.
Use of a .Reg file is poor form. You should avoid it if you can, if
the application is uninstalled your updates from the Reg file will not be
removed. Using Reg files is one of the worst offenders for registry bloat.
