Description:
The primary issue, as mentioned the other day, has been the ability to
identify a resource with both technical ability and excellent communication
skills.
The requisite skill set (in order of importance) would be verbal and written
communication, SQL 2000/2005 (stored procs, views, UDFs), C#.NET, ASP.NET.
Experience with service-oriented architecture would also be a plus.
The position would primarily focus on developing new functionality and
reporting for our client and vendor web portals. Responsibilities would
include the following:
Reading and understanding the documented business and functional
requirements
Writing a technical specification against the requirements
Developing the front end GUI as well as the supporting database changes
Unit testing code to ensure compliance with the requirements and acceptable
performance/response times
Ensuring all code is up to date in our source control tool
Merging code with other development projects when necessary
Interfacing heavily with the entire IT group on a daily basis (i.e. other
developers, business analyst, quality assurance analyst, etc.)
Providing development estimates and communicating impact to tight deadlines
where necessary
POSITION 2:
Job Title: Java Developer
Location: Chicago, IL (LOCALS ONLY)
Duration: 6 Months
Rate: Market Rate

Seeking Java developer with the following skills and experience:
- Proficient in writing client/server applications using Java servlet
technology
- Experience with using Weblogic or other Java Application Server for
executing applications
- Proficient in data retrieval and data parsing which follows defined
message specifications. Experience with Tibco or other data delivery system
a plus
- Proficient in Oracle database SQL. Stored procedures and triggers a plus.
- Strong ability to learn existing applications quickly and to be able to
make modifications to them.
- Ability to work independently.
Experience with:
Maven
Spring Framework
Eclipse IDE
Testing Frameworks: JUnit, FIT
*Highly desirable if candidate has experience with TIBCO (JMS equally good)
*Linux experience a big plus (especially scripting)
*Solid Core Java skills (w/ concurrency)
