Hi Sergio: Can you follow up on what you did here? I think I'm at a similar spot.
I copied in my vboxvideo.so by hand since the installer didn't seem to do it, that got it loading in the Xorg.0.log file: [ 472.172] (II) LoadModule: "vboxvideo" [ 472.172] (II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/vboxvideo.so [ 472.172] (II) Module vboxvideo: vendor="Oracle Corporation" [ 472.172] compiled for 1.15.0, module version = 1.0.1 [ 472.172] Module class: X.Org Video Driver [ 472.172] ABI class: X.Org Video Driver, version 15.0 [ 472.172] (**) Load address of symbol "VBOXVIDEO" is 0x7f6b3c7362e0 Now I get a black screen trying to load and at the end of my Xorg.0.log I have: [ 472.184] (II) VBoxVideo(0): kernel driver found, not loading. [ 472.184] (II) UnloadModule: "vboxvideo" [ 472.184] (II) UnloadSubModule: "vgahw" [ 472.184] (II) Unloading vgahw [ 472.184] (II) UnloadSubModule: "shadowfb" [ 472.184] (II) Unloading shadowfb [ 472.184] (II) UnloadSubModule: "fb" [ 472.184] (II) Unloading fb [ 472.184] (EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration. [ 472.184] (EE) Fatal server error: [ 472.184] (EE) no screens found(EE) [ 472.184] (EE) I think this lines up with where you were, but I'm not sure what you did to fix it. Any help is MASSIVELY appreciated! Thanks. Jim _______________________________________________ vbox-dev mailing list vbox-dev@virtualbox.org https://www.virtualbox.org/mailman/listinfo/vbox-dev
