Hello altogether!

I would like to bother you with a simple question which I could not find an
answer to.
Well, I am running virtualbox 3.2.8 under OS X 10.6 (host OS) and recently
installed win xp pro (64-bit) as one of my host OSes (on different vm's, of
course!).
When I started the installation of the guest additions from within the vm, the
installer tried to put the files into C:\Program Files which (as far as I know)
is reserved for 64-bit applications. In comparison to my 32-bit version of win
xp, I cannot find any differences between the files of the guest additions.
Therefore I would like to know if it was necessary to redirect the destination
directory to C:\Program Files (x86) while running the installer under XP
(64-bit) in order to avoid any kind of issues. By the way, isn't windows in
itself supposed to select the appropriate directory?

Thank you very much in advance for posting your answers.

Kind regards
Stephan

You need to run the 64bits mode exe file : vboxwindowamd64.exe (or something like that).
