Hello Angelo,

for the first time I had chosen "Install the guest additions" from the vbox 
menu, but it apparently went wrong: 32-bit files installed to C:\Program Files. 
For the second time I looked for an alternative installer (something like you 
mentioned) being available on the virtual CD VBoxGuestAdditions.iso and found 
one. I do not know why but the files installed then seemed to be exactly the 
same for the first time ...
I think I will give it another try and look what's going to happen ...

Thank you for spending your time on my problem. Further hints are welcome ...
