Eric understood quite well my request. I try to add more details, aiming to
clarify the problem.

Using virtualisation you can have more O.S. running on the same HW. If you
are a single user, there are no problem accessing each virtual machine: you
can have a windows for each session.

But if you have few physical users that want access the virtual machines,
then they need a their own PC accessing via RDP the mentioned Virtual
machines. Being the virtual machine the system of interest, the clients
would be "stripped down" as much as possible. I would like to distrubute
several CDs on "old" machines, with no O.S. installed on local HD. Once boot
from the CD the user will connect to the VM.

There are no particular requirements on the clients: a fluid remote desktop
will be enough. No games, or other resource demanding options.

As I also admitted in my first mail, the request itself is O.T., but
strongly push toward the adoption of the virtualization (through the use of
VirtualBox, of course).

jdd: VNC looks ok, but what I'm searching for is a bootable CD with a system
that would include and automatically start it.

Start uncovering the many advantages of virtual appliances
and start using them to simplify application deployment and
accelerate your shift to cloud computing.
