i notice that, under basic settings, you can change an installed
VM's "Operating System" and/or "Version".  but what's the value in
that?  if i installed, say, a 64-bit version of ubuntu, what would be
the point in suddenly deciding to call it, say, solaris?

  or am i missing something here?
