Pretty much. I'm only speaking from experience, the manual might very
well be wrong/vague/ambiguous.

Basically none, which is why it will not let you "check" them, though
your keyboard already being "active" is interesting, but I at work so
I don't have access to my VB to see if its the same.

You're using your keyboard and mouse as a virtual device instead of
directly and for those devices I can't think of any reason to use them
directly. The only device that you might want to install a filter for
would be your webcam, but only if you have a need to use it on your
guest.
