I use USB filters this to allow my Win7 guest to access my Zune for
syncing.  Without the filter the Host OS pick it up and it isn't available
to the guest.

My second use case was for our vpn token.  i was running Win7_x64 and the
token s/w wasn't available.  I built a 32bit guest and filtered the token so
the guest got it.  Worked like a charm.
