I.e. regedit the Registry entry:
HKEY-LOCAL-MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Intelppm\Start
and change '1' to '4'.
The problem is apparently caused by the driver intelppm.sys now being run in a
V'Box session, when it should not.
All now working perfectly...
