The VirtualBox tool drivers may appear as a tablet in order to allow for
the seamless mouse around from virtual to physical system. This is as
tablets provide absolute co-ordinates to the mouse pointer position,
whereas mice provide relative co-ordinates to the previous mouse pointer
position.

That's my theory anyway.

Change your mouse driver in XP and Tablet / non-Tablet edition may vary.
