actually one interesting caveat i ran across, related to shared usage of the 
host's video resources, is that if you're running multiple monitors (i came 
across this on OS X server 10.6.8 with vbox 3.2.12 -- newest vbox refused to 
run a win7 vm for me) the vm screen will 'black out' intermittently when 
another window steals its focus (ex: receiving an instant message in iChat) but 
can be restored, oddly enough, by mousing over the vm screen; one horizontal 
line of resolution restored at a time (so you have to carefully vertically 
swipe the whole 'monitor' to continue what you were in the middle of doing)...  
a solid workaround is to use the same color profile on both displays.
