It could be in the sense that we haven't specifically tested this to work with Knoppix 6.7 and that the whole thing involves a bit of black magic (looking at different distributions to see what they do and hoping that others will work the same way - albeit all modern desktop environments are supposed to know about /etc/xdg/autostart). If you are interested you can poke about on your Knoppix guest to see if it has some directory of its own for the same purpose.
