Hi Richard,

I'm not sure I follow you ... if you turn of the windows firewall
there is no network available (on the XP machine)?  Something doesn't
make sense.  Are you certain you're switching off the XP firewall?  As
I mentioned, I'm not a windows person but certain turning off the
firewall shouldn't disable networking.  You need to resolve that issue
first.
