I've found a weird issue when using shared folders on a linux guest and
a Windows 7 host.

If I drag and drop files into the respective folders, then there isn't a
problem. It works as it should and in the linux guest the files show up
as normal, are editable and so on.
If however, I select a file in windows, and simply copy it to the buffer
(CTRL+C) and then try and paste it into the shared folder, then in the
linux guest that file or directory will show up as "invalid". Displaying
the directory contents using "ls -lha" in the linux guest shows a bunch
of question marks instead of the file or directory attributes.
If its a file and I try to open it in vim, I will get a file not found
error.

If I reboot the Linux guest in Virtualbox, then the file or directory
works properly.
Also, if I do the copy&paste method in the windows host, and then rename
THAT file in the windows host, then it shows up properly in the linux
guest. If I rename the file back to what it was, it is still displayed
as corrupted.

As always, reboot fixes this, and dragging and dropping the file instead
of copy&paste also works.

Has anyone encountered this, or knows what could be causing this?

I've tried disabling the clipboard in Virtualbox, since I thought that
might be causing an issue, but that didn't help.
