Sorry for the confusion. Yes, there is a third machine on the same LAN with the
address 192.168.1.14.
And again yes, each ICMP packet request sent from my guest to 192.168.1.14 got
2 ICMP replies from the same machine, i.e. 192.168.1.14, except that the first
ICMP packet got just one reply rarely. And the third assumption you made is
also correct. The DUP behavior happened only from my guest to other machine and
vice versa, which means that when other machines ping my guest, they also get 2
ICMP replies from my guest. So any ideas?

Just so I'm sure I understand what you're saying, you're saying that
you have a third machine on the same LAN with the address
192.168.1.14, correct?

Again to clarify, you're saying that for every ICMP packet sent from
your guest to 192.168.1.14 you get 2 ICMP packets back. Is that
correct? I assume you don't see the same behavior when pinging
192.168.1.14 from other machines on your LAM?
