Did you get the above resolved?

What's unclear to me is the O/S Guest you've created.  Given you're
trying to `sudo', I'm going to guess it's a Linux variant.

If you create a Shared Folder for the VM as follows:

   Folder Path:  /usr2/tmp
   Folder Name:  oreo_usr2_tmp

You mount it as follows:

   mount -t vboxsf oreo_usr2_tmp /path/to/existing/directory
