Hello, I have configured a Centos 6.2 guest machine using host-only networking. I am attempting to connect to postgres inside the virtual machine. I have started postgres after editing listen_address='*' to listen to everything. Below is an output of netstat showing that postgres is indeed listening.
tcp 0 0 *:postgres *:* LISTEN 9717/postgres tcp 0 0 *:postgres *:* LISTEN 9717/postgres udp 0 0 localhost:48250 localhost:48250 ESTABLISHED 9717/postgres However, I cannot access postgres from the host machine. I am able to access other servers on the guest like ssh and http. Port scanning the guest also showed 5432 as closed. Does anyone know what might be happening?
