Hello,
I have configured a Centos 6.2 guest machine using host-only networking.
I am attempting to connect to postgres inside the virtual machine. I
have started postgres after editing listen_address='*' to listen to
everything. Below is an output of netstat showing that postgres is
indeed listening.

tcp 0 0 *:postgres
*:* LISTEN 9717/postgres
tcp 0 0 *:postgres
*:* LISTEN 9717/postgres
udp 0 0 localhost:48250
localhost:48250 ESTABLISHED 9717/postgres

However, I cannot access postgres from the host machine. I am able to
access other servers on the guest like ssh and http. Port scanning the
guest also showed 5432 as closed. Does anyone know what might be happening?
Regards,
Ryan Zeigler
