Hello John, You can simply ignore VM's operating system choice screen because it will do nothing but prepare VM characteristics accordingly to that OS. Pick one, then customize your VM so it will not even have a hard disk (if you don't need it at all), and with ISO mounted on one of VM's IDE controller. Hope this helps.
