Hello. I am setting up a couple of VMs having guests which will not actually
install a permanent OS to run but will "boot" into an OS from an ISO image
on the disk every time they start. In creating the VMs of course I have to
choose which guest OS to utilize. Now I am wondering whether my choice at
this point makes much difference since in fact the OS will be booted into
not installed from a CD. In the same sense that using a live CD on a
physical machine does not depend on the machine's OS, it would seem that my
virtual machine could have any OS. If my purpose for the live CD is to work
on other networked machines, what other considerations might I have for
making this decision? Any thoughts about this would be welcome. Thanks.
John
