Hi,

Mine grow automagically to the limit set which I specified when
creating (dynamically) the .vdi.

When I was approaching the limit of the .vdi (say, within a few
GiB's), I increased its size so I can't tell you whether a warning is
issued.

btw, your questions can more than likely be answered by the
documentation.  Have you read it?
