Hi John, While I can´t help you with regards to WinServer 2008 because I never ran it, I think it might be helpful if you tell readers more about your config: -Does your CPU support hardware virtualization (AMD-V or Intel VT-x), and how many cores does it have? -Your VM configuration (amount of system RAM on the host and memory configured for use on the VM, etc). -If on your VM´s Settings->System, under "extended features" you have selected "IO APIC" or under the Processor tab "PAE/NX". This will surely give the experts on this list a bigger picture to think what might be going on.
