Hi Tom,

I realize I'm not answering your question ... on any Windows box I use, 
I install cygwin.  This provides me a comfortable CLI environment.  If 
you had cygwin installed, you'd be in your zone.  :)

I'm sorry I can't help you .. I only use the GUI for some mundane tasks.
