Hey Y'all, I added a new virtual HD on my existing SATA interface using the Virtualbox manager. When I start the Win-7 VM the new drive does not appear in Windows Explorer.
I select the Win-7 VM on the Virtualbox manager. I double click Storage on the Virtualbox manager. I select the SATA interface in the storage dialog box. I click the Add Attachment icon at the bottom of the storage dialog box. I select "Add Hard Disk" I select [Create New Disk] button. I select VDI radio button and then [Next] button. I select Dynamically Allocated radio button and then [Next] button. I browse to the location where I want my new VDI, give it a name, and click the [Save] button. I click the [Create] button. The new virtual drive appears in the storage section of the Virtualbox manager. When I look on the host file system I see the new VDI file in the location I chose. When I fire up my Win-7 VM the new disk is not there. What am I doing wrong here? -- _ °v° /(_)\ ^ ^ Mark LaPierre Registered Linux user No #267004 https://linuxcounter.net/ **** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Everyone hates slow websites.
