In Win7 use Start > Computer (right click it) > Manage. After the system's
disk configuration information loads, on the left side click on Disk
Management, on the right side find your new disk and right-click it. From
there you can get it ready for storage or installing programs. If you need
to install programs without using the USB, create a shared folder with the
Host and move your installation files into there.
