I have a test process that used to work well. Today it broke. The host is
Ubuntu precise. Virtualbox is 4.2.16. Ipxe is latest github master branch.
I boot ipxe.iso in virtualbox to load a http URL from server then do the
actual booting. Today, when I booted, I got:
iPXE ISO boot image
Loading ipxe.krn...ready.
iPXE initialising devices...WARNING: Using legacy NIC wrapper on
ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
ok
Then ipxe tried to get dhcp address for ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff and it failed.
Same VM configuration but different ISO, like RIPLinux.iso, works fine. And
same ipxe.iso in KVM works fine. Reinstall virtualbox and clear all
configuration did not help.
