Just yesterday I upgraded to VB 4.3.6 on my Win XP (not used often)
and tried to install the latest Deb 7 for amd64 and the install kept
failing.

When I used the advanced install I was informed that I was using an
amd64 disk for a 32-bit cpu (my host is 64-bit).

I have always used the latest VB on that host and have installed
Debian 7 amd64 many times successfully in previous versions of VB.

Does anyone have an idea where the problem may lay?

(I have not tried downgrading VB yet. I did try both the netinst and
full-up iso versions from Debian--both failed.)

Best regards,

-Tom
