On second thought I'm afraid windows will like to close virtualbox THEN
execute your script. :-/

Why not just create a new shutdown script that

1 first invokes the vboxmanage virutal machine shutdown then
2. callsshutdown.exe with the required parameters (for example:
shutdown.exe /s )?

It'd be a matter of creating (say, via Notepad) a c:\shutdownAllVMs.cmd
file, and then create a shortcut of it on the desktop. Make sure it runs
with administrator privileges.

Sorry,that's the best my brain can do ATM. Someone else might be able to
think about other scenarios... :)
