Addition:

I wrote a typo.

The iso image is inserted into the IDE controler, but it seems like it is
not mounted after the installation anymore. I can tell that when pressing
f12 key to open the boot menu while loading the guest, there is no cdrom
available, only a boot loader and an option to load from firmware something.

Subject: Can't change the boot order in the virtual machine

Hello everyone,

I try to install arch linux on a virtual machine.

After installing I have the issue and to fix it I have to load from cd
again.

Here's what I do:

1. Go to settings/system
2. Navigate to the list with storage devices.
3. Find the optical drive with up and down arrows and press ctrl+up
arrow to move it up.
4. Press ok button.

After loading the system, it starts from a hard drive again.

However, the hard drive is inserted in the storage settings.

What can I do?

I use NVDA 2021.2 screen reader, virtualbox 6.1.28, windows 11 64 bit.

I don't want to reinstall the whole system because I feel that the fix for
the problem is really easy.

I just have to load from an ISO image first.

Thanks for any help!
