Hi Roger,

Please make sure that Guest Additions modules are built and loaded. I would
start with running "sudo rcvboxadd status-kernel". If modules are not loaded,
try "sudo rcvboxadd setup" and look to the output.

I don't know what do you mean by "hang" when starting X11. If it is a black
screen, try to choose different graphics adapter in VM config. VMSVGA is
recommended for recent Linux guests (they might refuse to work w/
VBoxVGA/VBoxSVGA because our vboxvideo driver is using legacy DRM API).

If problem persists, please submit a bug report and attach VBox.log there.

Best regards,
Vadim

Subject: [External] : [VBox-users] VbglR3Init failure

I recently upgraded VirtualBox to version 7.0.10 and it is run on a
Windows 10 host to provide Devuan Linux guest machines.

I also upgraded the Devuan version from chimaera to daedalus which
upgrades the Linux kernel from 5.10 to 6.1 -- the upgrade proceeded without
any problems with Virtual Box Guest Additions installed from the virtual
optical drive. Attempting to start X11 graphics causes the system to hang,
and the error is presumably

        VbglR3Init failed with rc=VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND

from the vboxadd-install.log; when the virtual machine is started using
Linux kernel 5.10 (for which the modules were recompiled) there is no
problem.

The question is how to fine the missing file; what is it?
