Hi; thanks for a nice product. A Windows XP SP 2 installs without problems and immediate network access (NAT).
Now I tried to share folders with the guest machine. According to the doc's: "Shared Folders allow you to access files of your host system from within the guest system, much like ordinary shares on Windows networks would -- except that shared folders do not need a net working setup. I installed the guest additions and see "Virtual Box Shared Folders" in the network environment. I also added a shared folder with VBoxManage to the VM, showvminfo shows: Shared folders: Name: 'myshare', Host path: '/opt' (machine mapping) The "Virtual Box Shared Folders" is empty and a net use x: \\vboxsrv\myshare fails with "no path to network" . It is my understanding that "vboxsrv" is a fixed name for the built-in server. Any hints?
