Virtual systems (i.e. Guests) don't see the physical hardware used by the host OS. Rather they see virtual hardware provided by the virtualization software. To enhance your virtual guest experience, start the Guest OS and from the VirtualBox menu, select Devices -> Install Guest Additions. This will mount a CD/DVD image on the Guest and if auto-run is enabled you will see an application run that lets you install the virtual video driver and other enhancements. -Jim P.
