Knoppix 5.1 does indeed boot up (after a long wait for udev to detect hardware). The knoppix VM was set for no sound--for laughs, I tried to configure a sound card and it complained that "modular sound architecture" (ALSA?) was unavailable. This should not be the case but should not find any cards or find what you might use to channel OSS had I enabled it.
Anyway, the KDE comes up and runs just fine. It did not work in QEMU with much more memory locked for it! Konqueror accesses the internet without a hitch. I have not gotten the QEMU-installed windows to run yet. May have to repeat the process (floppy boot, install the VDI). _______________________________________________ vbox-users mailing list [email protected] http://vbox.innotek.de/mailman/listinfo/vbox-users
