>The UI for making a VM certainly does offer the option of Win98. >The VM certainly does work. As with Qemu, it is slow but it does work (I think >faster than with Qemu but Qemu is excrutiatingly slow for Windows). >The guest additions install (may they or some of them should be excluded). I >do get message that Win98 does not support automatic driver updates. So that >"wiki" page should be updated. After the guest addition install, it boots up much faster. I get a video device not set up correctly error which I dismiss and then works fine. Running the mouse batch program will temporarily make the mouse work in and out of the window. Most telling, however: A program which took 15 minutes to get its picture up under Qemu worked a a minute or so in VIrtual Box. Can't complain about that. It never succeded with WINE. So, with a few quirks, VirtualBox certainly does support Win98. BTW, I noticed ReactOS is listed as not working. Maybe I will try it but lie. Call it Windows and see what happens :-) _______________________________________________ vbox-users mailing list [email protected] http://vbox.innotek.de/mailman/listinfo/vbox-users
